Orangewood Safety and Beautification Initiative

The safety of our St. Hedwig School community is of utmost importance. This year, our Fund-A-Need supports the continuation of safety efforts, while also creating more opportunities for outdoor learning.

Known as the Orangewood Safety and Beautification Initiative, the 2025 Fund-a-Need is earmarked for the continuation of safety efforts along Orangewood Avenue. This includes the extension of the iron fence through the TK/Kinder area and making Orangewood Avenue-facing windows shatterproof.

This effort will also help make the Orangewood Avenue green space between the fence and classrooms a better space for outdoor learning. Plans are in place to add new wood benches outside of each classroom to provide seating as well.
